We bid you welcome to Esbjerg, the 5th biggest town in Denmark - the southwestern capital of Jylland

The location could not be better! In the middle of the city with short walking distances to all the sights of a big city and only a short drive to the white beaches of the North Sea, dune plantation, woods, deer park and international golf courses.

You can drive directly to the hotel and use our parking lot for free!

The unique "chess board town plan" of Esbjerg has also in the center a well-functional network of roads, which makes it easy for drivers to get to and from the hotel - in and out of town.

From the train station there is only a few minutes walk if the luggage is not packed to cover a longer stay.

Or you can take the bus - straight to the door!

On foot you are only a stone throw away from the market square with its lovely café-environment (ice skate track in the winter) and the Music - and theatre house, the art museum, Esbjerg town museum, the printing museum, the music hall Tobakken where you can enjoy a variety of different concerts - or the dynamic international harbour with big ships, rigs, shrimp fishing boats, fish shops and restaurants.

Furthermore the hotels parking lot is in direct connection with Kongensgade - Denmarks longest pedestrian street, which as a whole makes a fabulous shopping center with interesting special stores, fashion stores a.s.o.

We will help guide you to short trips - for instant to the huge sculpture "Mennesket ved havet", (also known as "The four white men") Ribe, (the oldest town of Northern Denmark, 1300 years old)  Legoland (45 minutes by car, it is also possible to catch a bus) or a 12 minutes ferry ride to the wonderful island of Fanø.

We can also tell you about everything that takes place in Esbjerg besides this - like concerts, theatre shows, summer revues, festivals, sport events and other big events through out the year.

At the hotel Ansgar you can find peace and quiet - and still be close to everything that you wish to experience.
