Experience the old market town of Varde as it looked around the year 1860. Despite the fact that the town is built in miniature in a scale of 1:10, the experience is worth the visit. The buildings in the city are built with millimeter accuracy to create the most faithful copies possible. In Varde mini-city you will find more than 300 buildings, which together form the framework for the old town of Varde.

Varde Miniby is a miniature version of Varde city as it looked around the year 1860. The city is built to a size ratio of 1:10, and each and every building is built as a faithful copy of the original. Despite the fact that Varde is an old town, only a minimal part of the original buildings are still standing today, as the Vardens historically have had bad experiences with fire. In the city, there are more than 300 miniature buildings, all built by the so-called mini-masons. These mini-masons consist of 12 retired, skilled and handy men who meet all year round to build the small, millimeter-accurate copies of the old buildings. The buildings are finished with home-cast roof and bricks, window sections, half-timbering and downpipes.
