In 1928, Fonden Gamle Sønderho bought the galleriholländermøllen, which was built in 1895.

The mill, which was condemned for demolition, has since been restored in stages, and within the last few years has been given a new mill vane and krojær wreath.

The mill's ingenious and simple construction is based on centuries of experience and is an impressive piece of balance art. In fact, the eight high legs of the hull are loosely mounted on the masonry masonry, and the hat - with wings, wing shaft, hat wheel and swivel - rests on just 8 small iron blocks sliding on an iron band at the top of the hull. The weight alone alone makes it all stand - in the storm and still!

Sønderho Mill can be viewed from the inside, as the door is open from Easter to the end of week 42. The mill is unmanned and any kind of traffic indoors as well as outdoors is at your own risk.
