Østskoven - a green excursion destination in Esbjerg

Østskoven is a green excursion destination in Esbjerg, the forest has paths, lakes, nature camp site, heart trail, campfire hut and ancient route.

Prior to the planting of the Østskoven, Esbjerg Museum excavated from 1988-94 a series of ancient settlements that represent the area's total settlement development from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. Esbjerg Museum has produced a board exhibition about Antiquity in the East Forest and an ancient route has been prepared, just as a small nature playground has been established.

Shelters in the Eastern Forest
Shelters and fire pits in Østskoven are especially intended for outdoor education. There is free access, but in connection with long-term use or larger events, booking must be made at Esbjerg Municipality's School Service
