Esbjerg Brygge

The place that gathers all maritime life Esbjerg. Marina, maritime center and much more.

So there is plenty to do as a photographer in the northernmost part of Esbjerg Harbour. The project which aims to create "The recreational harbour", better known as Esbjerg Strand, is in full swing and there are still more planned additions to the location, including swimming facilities, green areas and educational buildings.

But where should you choose to have your focus at this time? The best spots on Esbjerg Brygge that I would recommend are the following:

SAILED LOOKOUT TOWER

The sculpture, made back in 2021, has a height of 10 meters and also functions as a lookout tower. The tower itself is a beautiful motif both from land and from the air. Furthermore, the tower also gives photographers who do not have a drone the opportunity to get up high and see the area from a slightly different perspective than usual. So even with a view of one of Esbjerg's other landmarks - The White Men.

THE LANTERN

An architectural gem is also to be found in the area. The new maritime center Lanternen contains many different maritime activities from sports, culture, workshops to learning and socializing. The lantern is an exciting motif from the land, where you can, among other things, take pictures from the "landside" on the road Esbjerg Brygge or from the lookout tower on the sail. Furthermore, it is clearly recommended to use the drone for this subject. The drone allows you to see the Lantern's beautiful architecture from above, where two skylight openings allow you to see the interaction with the social meeting place on the top floor and the practical area at the bottom.

YACHT HARBOR

In addition to the yacht club, the newly built yacht harbor consists of the museum lighthouse Horns Rev, a museum fishing cutter and, if you are lucky, the beautiful light blue National Park Wadden Sea ship also docks in the harbour. Here, then, there are a lot of exciting and special types of ships and sea sports activities that you can move around and photograph. Furthermore, the marina is shaped with floating bridges that almost stand like "wings" from the central footbridge, and this therefore gives a completely unique and impressive view seen from a drone.

Esbjerg Brygge is located a few kilometers from Esbjerg Center in the northernmost part of Port of Esbjerg. Parking options can be found in several places on the harbor island, including next to the maritime centre.
