Kikkebjerg on Fanø

From the 18 m high Kikkebjerg there is a fantastic view over the northern tip of Fanø, Nordby and Esbjerg.

In the sailing ship era, Kikkebjerg was used as a lookout point for the pilots from Nordby. As the Port of Esbjerg took over shipping traffic, the function ceased. The old pilot house was destroyed by the storm in 1999, after which the current one was built in memory of its original function.

With its 17 altitude meters, Kikkebjerg is of course included as one of "The Big Five", one of the 5 highest mountains on Fanø.
