A different museum for modern and contemporary art, known for functioning as an experimentarium where children and adults can have surprising experiences.

At Esbjerg Art Museum you can both see modern masterpieces and experience the very current Danish and international art – tomorrow's classics. The museum is known for its sharp and experimental profile, which challenges traditional exhibition formats and involves the audience.

In the museum's aesthetic laboratory, everyone is invited to experiment with colors and optical tricks, while the open magazines and the fragrance installation Wittgenstein's garden invites new discoveries and personal immersion.

The museum's wall facing the forecourt is broken through by the world-famous artist Olafur Eliasson's work The curious museum wall, where eight kaleidoscopes create complex reflections and wondrous geometric figures. A visit to the Esbjerg Art Museum thus provides a new perspective on the world in more ways than one.
