Iron Age settlement in Marbæk near Esbjerg, on the site you can see 3 protected house plots from the beginning of the Iron Age, where the houses' hearths and paved stables can still be seen. There are paved paths between the houses.

The Marbæk area has been densely populated in the centuries around the birth of Christ. A grave and several Iron Age settlements have been found along the coast and in the southern part of the plantation. In the settlements at Sjelborg and Myrtue, the open house plots with paved barn floors and streets have been preserved. In the middle of Marbæk Plantage there is also a large system of Iron Age fields - so-called dyke folds.
