Hjerting Strand - beach life at Esbjerg

The 660-metre-long beach promenade at Hjerting Strand offers several opportunities to enjoy the good view of Ho Bay, be active, swim and, not least, use your imagination.

On the long wooden promenade there are stairs, benches, ramps and stands along the beach. There are also several viewing platforms here. One of them is at Hjerting Badehotel. You can easily get down to the beach, the platforms can also be used for audiences in connection with concerts etc.

Child friendly beach and play
On the beach a pile forest has been created. 37 poles have been erected, and six of them have been used for a series of piston rods. There are good opportunities to move and challenge his height check as the highest poles are over 5 meters.

Enjoy the view
On the long wooden promenade there are good viewpoints with and without benches. Also close to the new clubhouse for sailors, surfers and winter bathers there is a large viewing platform with benches and space for many. In the bottom
of the platform there are boathouses.

On the water
A special sea platform lies at low tide like a piece of furniture on the beach and at high tide like a floating island in the water. The platform is intended as a sun and bath deck.

Be active
On the beach there are two beach volleyball courts. And poles have been set up that mark football goals.
Good opportunities for kite surfing.
You can sail by speedboats and water skiing at Hjerting during the period 1 March to 30 September.
